CEGSA Awards

CEGSA values the efforts of educators at all levels of the South Australian educational community and seeks to recognise their contributions.
This recognition takes several forms which are in line with the Australian Council of Computers in Education (ACCE) awards.

Leading Lights: The CEGSA Leading Light award aims to recognise those within the CEGSA community who provide inspiration to others in supporting the use of ICT.

SA Computer Educator of the Year and ICT Leader of the Year: These awards are chosen from the Leading Light nominations.

Australian Educator of the Year and Leader of the Year: SA nominations for these awards are submitted to ACCE for consideration by the ACCE board at the annual general meeting in February.

The winner of this award is, in turn, nominated for the International Computer Educator Of the Year, decided by the board of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).

Individual members can apply annually for ACCE Professional Associate status. This is done via the Professional Associates section of the ACCE web site and nominations are confirmed by the CEGSA committee.
This status recognises current individual members who demonstrate a commitment to computer education in line with the application guidelines.

As an individual financial member of CEGSA you are automatically an ACCE Associate and able to use ACCE Associate as a professional signature.
