The CEGSA Leading Light award aims to recognise
those within the South Australian Educational community who provide inspiration
to others by their excellent practice in supporting the use of ICT to enhance
and extend student learning.
At the end of each year the CEGSA committee selects
the South Australian Computer Educator of the Year and the South
Australian ICT Leader of the Year from the Leading Light nominations
received throughout the year.
The South Australian awards winners are nominated
for the corresponding Australian awards, decided by the Australian Council
of Computers in Education (ACCE) board at the Annual General Meeting in February.
The winner of the Australian Computer Educator
of the Year award is, in turn, nominated for the International Computer Educator
Of the Year, decided by ISTE.
