This award is intended to recognise the importance of the work of Australian
teachers who are contributing to the use of ICTs in their schools. Administrators
in schools, district and regional personnel and people attached to offices of
school systems also contribute to learning, schools and the professional computer
education community, but this award focuses on recognising the efforts of classroom
based educators.
Nominees must be based in a school and considered a member
of the teaching staff of that school.
Criteria for Selection
Candidates should submit an application which contains a brief biography
and organizes evidence under two headings:
Recognition within own
institution
The applicant is respected as a leader and innovator in his / her
own institution in relation to:
- Work with students
- Work with colleagues
- Work with parents
Recognition outside own institution
The applicant is perceived as a leader and innovator by outside
individuals, groups or organizations in relation to:
- Work with teachers in other institutions
- Participation
in the work and events of member associations of ACCE
- Publications (including web based)
- Contributions to conferences and other professional
development activities.
