Professional Development

CEGSA acknowledges the efforts of a large number of teachers who support their peers by providing professional development in their schools, usually in their own time and often without any reward. A number of these people offer to present courses for CEGSA and enable us to provide a range of professional development opportunities for South Australian educators. These are offered at a reduced cost for members.

Without our presenters, usually classroom teachers, our professional development program would not exist. Many thanks to these people.
If you would like to be a CEGSA presenter please check the CEGSA Potential Presenter Information page.

  • A wide range of workshops are offered by CEGSA presenters, usually at their own schools. Check the Workshops pages for courses currently available. The number of courses offered in country areas is increasing as more teachers offer to share their classroom expertise with others.
  • CEGSA publishes information about local hub groups which may be of use to members. This information is as up to date as we can manage. Please contact the CEGSA office if you are aware of a hub group that should be included, or information that needs to be updated.
  • CEGSA holds a state conference each year where we celebrate the wonderful things that are happening in classrooms and schools around the state.

In 2004 CEGSA hosted the ACEC2004 national conference and a wealth of interesting papers are available on the conference web site.

Plan your 2006 tropical holiday around ACEC2006!

The next national conference will be held in Cairns from October 2nd to 4th 2006. It promises to be an unforgettable experience-

DON'T MISS OUT!
